It's gross and rainy today. So here are some photos of sunny Castle Island
Last week Lia and I took a field trip to South Boston to visit Castle Island. Neither of us had visited during our time in Boston, and craving a lobster roll, it seemed as good a spot to chow down on one as any.
The planes come into Logan Airport to land from this direction, so if you've got as much #~~*wanderlust**~ as Lia and I do, or you enjoy the marvels of human engineering, then it's quite a treat to watch them swoop in overhead.
This is a barnacle-crusted rock that I thought was pretty.
And this is my beautiful babe. She's very pretty too.
Here she is adventurin'
And catching her breath from all the adventurin'
We sat and watched the planes land at Logan airport in the distance, but Lia was more excited by the moss on the wooden poles.
Predictably, the lobster roll at Sullivan's -- a touristy shack next to the small beach -- was underwhelming. But the scenery wasn't.
This man seems to be having a nice enough day.
Walking along the harborwalk made Boston Harbour look like a veritable oasis.
